How to send money to a new person on the first direct App

It’s easy, in fact, it’s really easy.

Find your way to the ‘Move Money’ menu

Log onto your App and select ‘Move Money’ on the main home page.

Then, choose the account you’d like to move money from.

Select ‘New person or small business’

Type in the new payee’s bank details here.

Now select the payee’s account type and add the details to save your new payee.

Let us know how much money to move and the reference to send it with.

Then tell us when you’d like to send your payment.

When you’re happy, tap ‘Next’.

We’ll double check the payee details for you.

If the payee name and account doesn’t match, you will need to check the details with who you are trying to pay and then change them.

Once you have checked the details you can change them or press ‘continue’ to accept the details you have already provided.

Now, press ‘Confirm’.

We’ll ask you to verify your identity, so we know it’s really you,

And that’s it!

Your money is now on the way to the payee.

How to cancel a Direct Debit on the first direct App

Need to cancel one of your Direct Debits?

Here’s how to do it on our iOS App

First things first, head to the “Move money” menu. [The second icon from the right on the bottom tool bar]

Select the account the Direct Debit is paid from [Select account from list]

Head to Manage Standing Orders and Direct Debits [Navigate to “Manage” menu and select Standing Orders and Direct Debits]

Choose the Direct Debit you’d like to cancel [Select the beneficiary from the list]

Press Confirm [Press confirm in top right-hand corner and click yes on confirmation prompt]

And Voila

You’ve just cancelled a Direct Debit on the first direct iOS APP.

How to pay your Credit Card on the App

How to send money to repay your first direct credit card on our App.

Make sure your Credit Card or Gold Card is nearby, (you’ll need it soon).

Now, log onto your App and select ‘Move Money’ on the main home page.

Then, choose the account you’d like to move money from.

Select ‘New large business’.

Tap the search box and start typing ‘first direct’.

Choose your credit card from the search results.

Let us know how much money to move and type your full credit card number into the reference box.

Then tell us when you’d like to send your payment.

When you’re happy, tap ‘Next’

You can review the details, then press ‘Confirm’.

We’ll ask you to verify your identity,

And that’s it!

Your card’s available balance should be updated straight away – this will show on your statement the next working day. (Payments can take up to two hours to credit, subject to our usual checks.)
